Fill Up The Forms

Went to Mara HQ this morning for a briefing regarding forms & documents.. Lots & lots of forms & agreements yo! =D kyuem & unikl mestect Mara scholars were there..

7.15 am : Arrive at the ktm station. Luckily I meet Hanan. *relief* Thanks for the accompany! At least I was not alone all the way to KL. =) n I have to say, there were so many people on the train. Since its in the morning, I can smell nice perfumes. aha... Kalu petang pula?? =P

9.15 am - noon : Briefing & Discussions. Its a hard time for few of my dearest friends who did not meet Mara's requirement to go overseas. At the moment, they have to start searching for a placement in any local private college. Pray hard so that Mara will consider their appeals.

1.30 pm : Home. ZzzZzz ~ ^____^

My A-levels result was released yesterday, and......

I pass the requirement set by Irish Universities & Medical School Consortium (IUMC) !! =D

Alhamdulillah.. All praises to Allah.

Currently, I'm waiting for a notification from IUMC, announcing the university chosen for me ( as well for few other KYUEM MARA Medics). I'm hoping to get into Trinity.. *senyum lebar* But I leave this decision making to Allah, let Him decide which university is the best.

TRINITY, UCD, CORK or GALWAY ??

Nabi Adam a.s. berkata:

Aku telah berpuas hati dengan syurga yang di dalamnya terdapat kehidupan yang kekal, akan tetapi ALLAH SWT tidak menyukainya, maka aku telah dikeluarkan dari dalamnya.

2) Janganlah kamu berbuat sesuatu atas kehendak isterimu semata-mata

Aku telah menuruti keinginan isteriku, iaitu makan buah khuldi dan sebab itu aku menderhakai ALLAH SWT.

I bet its every girl's dream to have d MOST beautiful wedding ring. So do I! n I'm hoping it is from Tiffany! or Cartier.... *ngade2 betol* =P Neyh, its juz that me n my friends were browsing engagement rings the whole day today. *saje2* Kebetulan, on Tiffany & Co.'s website, there's a page where you can sort of design your own ring.. n I've decided... This is what i want (for now)..

• Band : Gold, Silver, Platinum

• Gemstone : Diamond, round. (although there were one time-iaitu after watching Blood Diamond because the diamond trader trades diamonds from Africa with weapons I thought of not having diamond, I just could not find anything to replace it... )
• Diamond 4 C's (Cut, Clarity, Colour & Carat) : too much to be think of.. =D Brilliant, VVS1-VVS2, J or below, 2 carat? =)

Interview with Irish Universities and Medical Schools Consortium

Alhamdulillah, i've done my best in presenting my real self in the interview with IUMC.... I'm hoping sangat SANGAT to get a place in one of the Irish med schools.... Amiin....

N now i just wanna share my experience during the interview..... =))

Overall : JUST BE URSELF.... they really wanna know u.... xperlu hafal too many "skema jawapan" or "skrip" for tis interview.... Except for the MUST commons questions!

First question, why medicine.....?

(even the interviewer said, lets begin wit the question that u've rehearsed thousands times...") =P

but i think i've spent too much time answering tis question... yup, i've memorised 2 pages long of wut i called "skrip"....n the interviewer didn't interrupt my speech at all....soo, whoever reading tis n r goin to be interviewed by the IUMC, prepare an appropriate length of answer k?

Second, what makes u a good doctor TO UR SOCIETY ? aish! I've prepared to answer "what makes u good doctor", but when the interviewer introduced -to ur society- ....., I FORGOT EVERYTHING.... So, i started to talk from the heart.... I really highlighted that i wanna be a DERMATOLOGIST, who owns a clinic in Subang Jaya (my hometown)...... N i've explain the reasons..... As well, i said i wanna involve in educating the society, especially the teenagers, on the importance of skin care..... =))

Third, of course lah, what do you know about IRELAND ? ok, nonit to tell ya da answer, go n GOOGLE! =D

4th, what course will u wanna read apart from Medicine ? I answered, most probably pharmacy... Or i'll find a path to get to study dermatology.... like diploma or a small course at the university on dermatology.... (i think as long as u answer anythin close in range to medicine, u'll be fine... they juz wanna know ur interest in studying tis arena of knowledge)

5th, they also ask where i learn my English.... tis is nothing, honestly, my english was not THAT GOOD.... i honestly said that i've never went into any special english course, but i really enjoy watching english movies n listening to english songs..... those probably has helped a lot... Then......

6th, do u know any Irish singer? i knew it! =P WESTLIFE & THE SCRIPT! explain lah a bit.... =)

7th, if ur society dun need a dermatologist in the future, will u wanna change ur specialization? i found tis question a bit tricky...... =P i said, back to the purpose of becoming a doc... one of it is to help people in my society, so i said yes! its wut the society needs..... (perhaps someone wit strong stand wont wanna agree wit me... but yeah, i think between my desire to become a dermatologist n the needs of the society, society wins!)

8th, did you apply to any other med school? hurrmmmm..... SUSAH. Kat kyuem, yeah, we applied thru UCAS jugak..... soo.... tp, its alrite, jawab je jujur..... Ckap je backup... Its not easy to get an offer from even a single med school wit such competitions nowadays.... MEMANG BETUL PUN KAN? But i did said Ireland nie my 1st choice.... Luckily mmg time apply scholarship MARA dulu pun ckp nak gi Ireland.... So, i told them that.

and at the end, they asked me, "any question for us?"

KENE, WAJIB ASK them questions tau (satu pun xpe).... so i asked them,

What Do You Think bout Malaysian Students in Ireland?

Thats all, i THINK..... sorry if i've forgotten any questions... rasenye nope. OWH YA, my friends were being asked bout their CVs..... Pelik-ly, i was not...... So, prepare to talk bout ur CV as well.... N ur work attachment in the hospitals tooo!

pray that i'll get the offer.....

so that i can complete 5 years of med school, come back to Malaysia, n serve my people.... Amiin.....
